
MERCURY PACKAGING SWEEPS THE BOARDMERCURY PACKAGING SWEEPS THE BOARDFurther underlining its commitment to innovation and print quality, Mercury Packaging recently won a silver and bronze award at the prestigious annual European Flexographic Trade Association (EFTA) dinner. The leading UK flexible packaging specialist picked up the awards for a promotional value pack containing the National Magazine Company’s December 2009 issues of Harper’s Bazaar and SHE magazines. Mercury collected the Silver award in the Best Small Company category and the Bronze in the Flexible Packaging Medium and Wide Web Line / Screen category. The winning magazine pack was a header bag with a permanent closure and manufactured by Mercury using 60 micron Oxo biodegradable Cast Polypropylene (CPP) – for added environmental benefits. It was reverse printed using eight colours with double white for optimum opacity. The design featured an image of Victoria Beckham taken from Harper’s Bazaar’s December 2009 cover shoot.
